I've had this website up and running for several years now, and I've heard from Nighthawk owners from literally around the world, but it seemed like people would come and people would go and we had no means of really staying connected, sharing stories and getting advice. So, I decided to set up a Google Group where we could do just that. The Nighthawk Lovers group is growing almost constantly, and we have some great mechanics who hang out there and who share all kinds of great advice everyday. Another reason I created the group is because I AM NOT A MECHANIC. 
Yet, I continue to get a lot of email from Nighthawk owners asking me about complex mechanical issues. I figured that just because I couldn't answer their questions, that didn't mean I couldn't provide a means to get them answered. And Nighthawk Lovers was born.
There are three ways you can participate. It's free, and only your email address is required to join. Your address will never be given to anyone; it will be used solely to deliver email from other Nighthawk Lovers members and occasional administrative messages. Commercial advertising is not permitted on the forum.
Note: to eliminate spam, I have the group set up so that all new members join the group on a probationary level. When you send your first post to the group it will go to me first. Once I read it and determine that you're a real person discussing motorcycles, I will lift the probation and you will be able to post without delay from that point on.
Choose the method that best suits you:
Read and post NIghthawk Lovers messages via the Web! To get started, please go to the Register page for the Nighthawk Lovers forum, and choose "No Email - Read this group on the web" as your delivery option.
On the interactive list, you will receive a message every time someone posts a new message or responds to an existing thread. Each message is posted by a fellow NIghthawk Lovers member.
The interactive list is ideal if you expect to be frequently replying to other postings and don't mind the volume of incoming mail.
To join the interactive mailing list, go to the Register page for the Nighthawk Lovers forum and choose: "Email - send each message as it arrives", from the delivery options.
Alternatively, you may subscribe by sending an email to Nighthawk_Lovers-subscribe@googlegroups.com
Once you've subscribed, you can post your own messages by mailing them to Nighthawk_Lovers@googlegroups.com. Any message you send to that address will be immediately distributed to everyone on the interactive list. As verification that your posting was successful, you will also receive your own message back--unless you're using Gmail.
The Digest List takes the day's email activity and send it to you in one large mailing at the end of the day. You will be able to scroll through that message and see all the messages that were sent to Nighthawk Lovers in that day.
To join the Digest mailing list, go to the Register page, and once you've subscribed, select "DIGEST" for your method of mail delivery.
Regardless of which delivery method you choose, once you've subscribed, you can post your own messages by mailing them to Nighthawk_Lovers@googlegroups.com. Any message you send to that address will be immediately distributed to everyone on the interactive list. As verification that your posting was successful, you will also receive your own message back--unless you're using Gmail, which will only allow show you your own post if you posted via the web.
